After scoring a goal in the 2-1 victory, Lo’eau LaBonta ran to the corner flag and proceeded to twerk in front of the Kansas City bench.

The NWSL quickly released a statement saying that they “do not condone this type of behavior from any player.”

But as her NWSL teammates rushed to celebrate with her, the 29-year-old quickly recovered and decided to show off her twerking skills in front of the adoring crowd.

LaBonta has since taken to Twitter to apologize, saying that she “let her emotions get the best of her.” Lo’eau, who has been NWSL twerking sensation, took to social media to share her excitement at the result. “Gutted we didn’t get the win tonight but happy with the team’s response after going down a goal,” she wrote on Twitter. “We’ll take the point and move on to the next one.”

Lo’eau LaBonta has quickly become a fan-favorite in NWSL thanks to her wild and passionate style of play. As NWSL fans will know, LaBonta is no stranger to a good twerk. Last year, she treated viewers to an impressive display after scoring for the Portland Thorns.
