Amanda Nunes defended her women’s featherweight title for the first time with a first-round TKO victory over Julianna Pena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The footage, captured by UFC fans and published on social media, shows Amanda Nunes landing a clean right-hand that sends Julianna Pena crashing to the canvas. The champ put on a masterclass in striking, with her right hand doing the most damage.

Pena had no answer for Nunes’ power and accuracy, eating big shots throughout the fight. In the end, all three judges scored the bout 50-44 in favor of Nunes.

Nunes’ right hand was on point all night, and she landed some clean shots on Peña. In the fourth round, Nunes connected with a beautiful right hook that sent Peña crashing to the mat.

This was a huge win for Nunes, who cemented her place as one of the best female fighters in UFC history. She now has a record of 20-4, and she has won nine of her last 10 fights. Nunes is also the first woman to hold two UFC titles simultaneously, as she is also the current UFC Women’s Featherweight champion.

Nunes wasted no time in getting the fight to the ground, and she quickly took Peña’s back. Peña did a good job of defending the rear-naked choke, but Nunes eventually sunk in the submission and forced the tap.

The victory extends Nunes’ winning streak to eight fights, and she has now defended her title five times. Peña, on the other hand, sees her five-fight winning streak come to an end.

“That right hand by Nunes was something else,” one fan wrote. Some even went as far as to compare the punch to one of the most famous knockout blows in UFC history. “One of the best KO’s I’ve seen in a long time,” one fan said. “That was like a Mike Tyson uppercut,” another added.
