Sura Yekka has represented Canada at the youth level and was part of Canada’s U20 Women’s World Cup squad in 2014. She also won a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games with Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team.

Yekka is known for her tackling and passing ability which makes her a valuable asset to any team. Her physicality, strength, and athleticism also make her an ideal defender for Canada Soccer Women. In 2016, Yekka joined Toronto FC II, making her debut with the club on May 7th of that year. She also competed in the 2016 Women’s Canadian Championship with TFC II, going on to finish as runners-up.

The very next year, Yekka signed a pro contract in Sweden and joined Goteborg FC of the Damallsvenskan League. She went on to make 11 appearances for her new club that season. In 2019, Yekka returned to Canada and joined K-W United FC of League1 Ontario. She was an integral member of the team and helped them reach the playoffs for three consecutive seasons (2019-2021).
