All you need to know about Arsenal & Chelsea's path to final.
Arsenal, who is the current holder of the trophy will host Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals on March 24th. Chelsea’s match against Atlético Madrid has been scheduled for the same day.
Arsenal and Chelsea have met each other in many semi-final matches before, but this time they could potentially meet each other for the first time in the Champions League final.
The Arsenal-Paris Saint-Germain quarterfinal is a repeat of last year’s semi-final, which Arsenal won 2–1 on aggregate. Arsenal’s Dutch goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal was instrumental in their success that day and will be hoping to produce another inspirational performance this year.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be looking to build on their successful season and reach the final for the first time by beating Atlético Madrid. The Arsenal-Chelsea semi-final matchup would bring together two of England’s most successful women’s teams who have experienced great success in domestic competitions in recent years.
Arsenal won both the Women’s Super League and the FA Cup last season while Chelsea were runners-up in both competitions. Arsenal currently top the WSL table with Chelsea sitting in third place, so a semi-final between these two teams would be an amazing spectacle.
