Canada Soccer Women will be joined in the 2023 season by a record number of teams from Canada’s professional leagues - Canada Soccer Premier League, Canadian Premier League and USL Pro Canada. Canada Soccer Women’s Men’s and Women’s National Teams will take part in the competition alongside Canada’s highest calibre of professional club teams.

Canada Soccer Women has implemented a new format for the 2023 Canadian Championship that will see Canada’s four best teams from the competition advance to the semi-finals. The winner of those matches will then progress to the Canadian Championship Final, with Canada Soccer Women’s Men’s and Women’s National Teams also having a chance to take part in the competition.

Canada Soccer Women has developed a new point system for the 2023 Canadian Championship which awards three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss.
