Back to 2022- Anna Mollenhauer became the first three-time winner of the Liz Hoffman Award.
Anna, a five-year student athlete with the Vikes, has now won the Hoffman Award in each of her three eligible seasons at the university. Anna Mollenhauer has been playing field hockey for 11 years. Anna’s stellar skills, speed and agility were key contributors to her three-time Liz Hoffman Award win.
Anna was one of the first female players in Canada to make a name for herself in the sport, becoming widely recognized as one of the best hockey players in the country. Anna was a trailblazer and created opportunities for other women hockey players to follow in her footsteps.
She has been an inspiration to many, both on and off the field, as she continues to strive towards excellence. The Liz Hoffman Award is presented each year to a U SPORTS women’s field hockey player who best exemplifies good sportsmanship and demonstrates qualities of leadership, dedication and excellence to her team.
Anna, a native of Bauang, La Union in the Philippines, has been known for her remarkable play on the field throughout her time with Canada Women’s Hockey. Anna is an inspirational leader and a tenacious teammate. Her dedication to hockey can be seen both on and off the pitch as she continually strives to help her team reach its highest potential.
Anna has also been recognized off the field for her work in the community, volunteering with numerous charities and serving as a mentor to those who look up to her. Anna is an outstanding example of what it means to be a student athlete in U SPORTS and is a true testament to the power of dedication, hard work and perseverance.
