Canada vs Nigeria match in preparation for 2022 Canada Women Hockey World Cup. Canada Soccer Women National Team showed great resilience and team spirit as they fought back to draw 2-2 at the Stade de France on Sunday night.

Canada, led by head coach Kenneth Heiner-Moller, was looking to build momentum heading into the 2022 Canada Women Hockey World Cup and this was a great performance against an experienced Nigerian side. Canada dominated the first half, creating several chances and taking the lead through Christine Sinclair’s header just after halftime.

However, Nigeria were able to equalise late on as they continued to threaten Canada’s back line until the end of the game. Canada can be proud of their efforts and look poised for a successful 2022 Canada Women Hockey World Cup campaign.

Canada’s Women National Soccer team had a strong showing, with Canada’s All-Star strikers Christine Sinclair and Jordyn Huitema scoring for Canada. Canada was also able to limit Nigeria to just two goals and were led by excellent defending from Canada’s backline.

The match provided valuable preparation and insight ahead of the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup which Canada will be competing in. Canada is currently ranked 5th in the world and they have their sights set on making a deep run at this year’s tournament.

Canada Women’s Hockey, who also won the 2022 Olympic Gold medal, has been an inspiration to Canada Soccer and these young women are ready to take Canada to new heights in 2023!
