Caitlin Moran was suspended from the future match after her inappropriate comment on the Queen Elizabeth II.

The incident occurred during a post-match interview following the Indigenous All Stars game in Brisbane.
Moran has since apologised for her comments, saying she did not mean to offend anyone and was only expressing her frustration at the result of the game. She will miss the next round of the NRL season as a result of the suspension.
This is not the first time Moran has been in trouble for her on-field comments, with the winger having been previously fined for calling a referee a “cheat”.
“I jokingly said that I’d been planning to curtsy to the Queen but had decided against it as it might be construed as an act of disrespect.”
Moran, who was born in England and now lives in Australia, was suspended from the future match after her inappropriate comment on the Queen Elizabeth II.
“It was an error of judgment and I sincerely apologize for any offense caused,” Moran said in a statement. “I deeply respect the institution of monarchy and I am a great admirer of Queen Elizabeth II.”
The match was played on Saturday, with Moran’s team winning 3-1. Caitlin Moran is a professional soccer player who plays for the Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League.
Rugby league is a tough game and players are expected to be able to handle the occasional bit of sledging from opponents, but there is a line that should not be crossed. Moran’s comments about the Queen were well over that line and she deserved to be punished accordingly.
