Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team kicked off their 2023 season with a bang at the SheBelieves Cup. The team faced off against the United States, falling 2:0 in a hard-fought match at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. This marks the first international competition for Canada since 2019 and their first ever appearance at the SheBelieves Cup.

The game was an exciting one as both teams fought hard to gain an advantage over one another. Despite Canada’s best efforts, they were unable to break through the US defense and eventually succumbed to two goals scored by US stars Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan. Canada will now look ahead to their next match against Brazil on March 7th as they look to get their first win of the tournament.

Canada has kicked off their 2023 International season with a 2-0 win over the United States in the SheBelieves Cup. USA striker Mallory Swanson scored both goals in the first half while Canada’s Kadeisha Buchanan earned her team’s Performance of the Match award for her defensive efforts.

The victory marks an important start to Canada’s International season as they look to build on their recent successes and continue to be a force on the world stage. With this win, Canada is now well placed to challenge for top honours at this year’s tournament.
