Canada Soccer is dedicated to ensuring that Canada’s athletes, coaches, and other participants in sport can enjoy a safe and healthy environment free of any form of abuse or harassment. Canada Soccer Women’s National Team players are leading the way in this commitment, serving as advocates for Canada Soccer’s Safe Sport agenda.

Canada Soccer Women will be the first Canada Soccer program to benefit from the abuse-free sport initiatives in 2022. Canada Soccer and its stakeholders will continue to work together to provide a safe, inclusive, and equitable soccer experience.

Canada Soccer is dedicated to creating a respectful environment for all members of Canada Soccer by providing support, education, and resources that foster an abuse-free sport. Canada Soccer is committed to ensuring that all members of Canada Soccer are provided with the opportunity to participate in Canada Soccer activities and events, free from abuse, intimidation, or harassment of any kind.

The Canada Soccer Women’s National Team will lead Canada’s commitment to the Abuse-Free Sport campaign, with Canada Soccer making a significant financial and personnel investment in this program.

Canada Soccer will adopt all of the principles set out by Abuse-Free Sport, including establishing education and training programs for coaches and players, setting up standards of conduct and responding quickly and decisively to complaints of abuse.
