Canada Soccer selected 24 players from eight Canadian clubs as part of the SheBelieves Cup 2023 squad. The players selected are all members of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team program, and they come from clubs across Canada: Vancouver Whitecaps FC (four players), Toronto FC (three players), Ottawa Fury FC (two players), K-W United FC (one player), Durham United FA (two players), Calgary Foothills FC (one player), FC Edmonton (two players) and AS Blainville (eleven players).

“We are thrilled to be taking part in the SheBelieves Cup 2023, where we will face some incredibly talented teams. This tournament is a fantastic opportunity for our squad to continue its development and hone its skills against the best sides in the world” - Bev Priestman.

Canada have been drawn in Group A alongside Brazil, Japan and host nation USA.

The SheBelieves Cup has become a staple of Canada’s Women’s National Team calendar since 2016, with Canada having participated in four out of five SheBelieves Cups since its inception in 2015. Canada are coming into the tournament after a successful 2020, as they earned a place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ and placed fifth at the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament.

The SheBelieves Cup will provide Canada with an excellent opportunity to continue its development against the top teams in world football at the senior level, including reigning SheBelieves Cup champions USA, Brazil and Japan. Canada are set to face Brazil in their SheBelieves Cup opener on February 16th at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, with the other matches taking place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (19 Feb) and Soldier Field in Chicago (22 Feb).
