Candace Parker is again doing her best to make her team the winner.

“It’s been an unbelievable ride,” Parker said. “I’ve been so fortunate to be able to play this game for as long as I have, and to do it with such great teammates. To have Allie Quigley by my side for so many years has been special.”
“We’ve been through a lot together,” Quigley said. “It’s been an honor to play with Candace, and I’m just happy that we’re both still playing at a high level.”
Parker and Quigley have been the cornerstone of the Chicago Sky franchise since they were drafted in 2008. They’ve been through some ups and downs together, but they’ve always been there for each other.
And they’re both still playing at a very high level. Parker is averaging 19.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in the playoffs, while Quigley is averaging 16.5 points per game.
“We just have a lot of trust in each other,” Parker said. “We know what each other is capable of, and we just try to make each other better. Candace is an amazing player,” Quigley said. “She’s so versatile and can do everything on the court. I’m just happy that I can contribute and help her lead this team.”
The Sky are down 0-1 in the best-of-five series, but Parker is confident that they can turn things around. Candace is averaging 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 53.1 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range in the playoffs.
In the Sky’s series-clinching win over the Connecticut Sun in Game 5 on Tuesday, Parker had 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Alice is averaging 16.5 points while shooting 47.4 percent from three-point range in the playoffs. Quigley had 17 points in the series-clinching win over the Sun.
“We just have to stay positive and keep fighting,” Parker said. “I know we can come back and win this series.”
