Caroline Wozniacki recently revealed that Serena Williams might not make a return to the tennis court again. The former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki said in an interview: “I don’t know if (Serena) will ever come back… She obviously knows her body best and she’s a mom now.”

The Danish tennis player and current world No. 8 Caroline Wozniacki, who is going to retire after the Australian Open in January 2020, also spoke of how Serena is doing since her return from maternity leave: “She has been struggling with health issues ever since she came back. That obviously has been tough for her. She’s a great champion and she’s always going to be remembered in the history books, no matter what happens now.”

Speaking in a recent interview, Caroline Wozniacki said: “I think it’s over. I don’t think she’ll come back and play any professional matches. It would be incredible to see her play an exhibition somewhere, but other than that I don’t think so. Serena had already stopped playing many tournaments before the pandemic started.”

The Dane, who recently retired from tennis, added that she wasn’t sure if Serena Williams would come back to compete in any official tournament even after the global health crisis passes. Caroline Wozniacki said: “She has been through so much. I think she still loves the sport, but if you can’t play at your highest level why do it? She has already achieved everything in her career.”

Although Caroline Wozniaki has been realistic about Serena Williams’ chances of making a comeback, fans will be hoping that she finds her way back to the court soon and continues to inspire future generations of tennis players.
