Christine Sinclair has again returned back to Thorns.

This is great news for fans of both the Thorns and Sinclair, as the two have become synonymous with each other over the years. Christine Sinclair is not only the club’s all-time leading scorer, but she is also the NWSL’s all-time leading scorer.
She has been a key member of the Thorns squad since she joined the club in 2013, and her return for the 2023 season will no doubt be a huge boost for the team. The move will see the Canadian legend return to the club for an eighth season.
The Thorns acquired Sinclair in a trade with the Flash in 2013, and she has been with Portland ever since, helping the team win an NWSL title in 2017.
Sinclair ranks second in NWSL history with 97 goals, behind only Sam Kerr’s 108. She has also tallied 43 assists in 139 games for the Thorns. Sinclair was voted NWSL MVP in 2017 and was a four-time NWSL Best XI selection.
In January, Sinclair was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. She is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist and has won six CONCACAF championships with Canada. Sinclair was named the Canadian Press female athlete of the year a record-tying 12 times.
Christine Sinclair is a Canadian professional soccer player and the captain of the Canada women’s national soccer team. Christine has scored more international goals than any other player in history, male or female, with 182 goals in 276 appearances as of June 2019.
She is the only Canadian to be nominated for the FIFA World Player of the Year Award and is a two-time Olympic medalist. Christine was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. In 2017, she was awarded the Order of Canada.
