Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall rematch date.

The two women met in the ring in October, with Shields winning by unanimous decision to become a two-weight world champion. Now, both women are eager to face each other again and prove who is the best pound-for-pound female fighter in the world.
Shields’ promoter Dmitriy Salita has said that a rematch is “being worked on”, and Marshall’s promoter Eddie Hearn has also expressed his desire to make the fight happen. Claressa Shields had her way with Savannah Marshall for the majority of their 10-round contest en route to a wide unanimous decision victory, cementing her status as the world’s best female middleweight.
Claressa Shields (9-0, 2 KOs) made quick work of Hannah Rankin in her last appearance, winning by TKO in the second round. The victory marked Claressa’s fourth title defense, as she continues to clean out the division. Claressa is also the current WBC and IBF champion at 154 pounds.
The victory put Savannah back on the winning track and she will be looking to make a statement in her rematch with Claressa.
“Claressa is the best female fighter in the world, and I think a rematch with Savannah is something that Claressa really wants,” Salita told Sky Sports.
“Claressa has made it clear that she wants to fight the best competition out there, and a rematch with Savannah certainly fits that bill.”
“We’re working on it, and I’m confident that we’ll get it done,” he said. “It’s just a matter of putting all the pieces together.”
The Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall rematch is currently scheduled for July. The bout will take place at a yet to be determined location. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
