Courtney Williams is coming back to Connecticut Sun.

The 6-foot guard from Texas A&M was the eighth overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft by Atlanta. She averaged 8.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in her rookie season.
Williams was part of the Dream team that reached the WNBA Finals in 2017, but she saw limited action in the postseason. She averaged 5.8 points in 13 games off the bench during the regular season.
The Connecticut Sun announced today that Courtney Williams has been traded to the Sun in exchange for Layshia Clarendon and a second-round pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.
