Dakota Ditcheva, Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s newest training partner, spoke to reporters about what it’s been like to train with the former UFC women’s strawweight champion.

Ditcheva, who is a Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer, said that she has been training with Jedrzejczyk for a little over a month now. She added that the two have become friends and that Jedrzejczyk has been helping her with her striking.

“It still feels surreal sometimes. I remember watching her fight and being in awe of her, and now I get to train with her every day. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Ditcheva, who is originally from Bulgaria but now lives and trains in Poland, has been Jedrzejczyk’s training partner for several years. The two have a close relationship, both in and out of the gym.

“Joanna is an amazing person, not just an amazing fighter,” said Ditcheva. “She’s so supportive and always pushing me to be better. I’m really lucky to have her as a friend and a teammate.”

Jedrzejczyk has been one of the most dominant champions in UFC history, successfully defending her title five times. Ditcheva has been by her side for every step of the journey.

“It’s been an amazing ride,” said Ditcheva. “Joanna is such a hard worker and she’s so dedicated to her craft. It’s been amazing to watch her grow as a fighter and a person over the years. I feel really privileged to have been a part of it.”

Ditcheva is currently ranked #14 in the UFC women’s strawweight division. She is hoping to get a title shot of her own in the near future.

“I know I have what it takes to be a champion,” said Ditcheva. “I just need to keep putting in the work and proving myself. I’m ready for whoever the UFC puts in front of me.”
