Drivers Emma Gilmour and Tanner Foust have discussed challenges of Uruguay track.
Emma Gilmour and Tanner Foust, the drivers of the McLaren Extreme E team, have both discussed the challenges presented by Uruguay’s unique terrain.
Speaking to reporters, Emma said “The track here in Uruguay is quite different from what we are used to back home. It’s very sandy, with lots of undulations, and quite technical in places. The key to being successful here is really understanding the terrain and using it to your advantage.”
Tanner was equally positive about the track, saying “It’s a great course for us to have some fun with. We have to be careful though, as one wrong move can be very costly. We will have to work hard as a team, and push each other to get the best out of ourselves.”
Emma Gilmour and Tanner Foust are the drivers that’ll be doing battle, but they have both discussed the challenges they face in Uruguay. Gilmour was quick to talk up the layout of the track, saying: “It is a very technical circuit with some really tight corners and a few blind spots. It should be a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Foust, meanwhile, admitted that the challenge in Uruguay is unlike any other: “It has been said that this track is trickier than most, and I would agree with that.
Both Emma and Tanner have their sights firmly set on the top step of the podium for this race, and with McLaren’s strong showing in Chile, they could be set for more success here in Uruguay. The team will have to use all their experience and skill if they are to take the win, but Emma and Tanner seem ready for the challenge. All that’s left now is to wait and see who comes out on top.
It’s sure to be an exciting race with Emma Gilmour and Tanner Foust behind the wheel, so stay tuned to see how the McLaren Extreme E team fares in Uruguay.
