Emma Raducanu reveals she was crying on the tennis court.

The 19-year-old Emma Raducanu, who is currently ranked world No.66, yesterday took to social media to reveal that she cried on the court during her first round loss at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Raducanu was playing against world No.32 Anastasija Sevastova when she lost the first set 6-1. The young Romanian was visibly emotional during the match and could be seen wiping away tears on several occasions.
After the match, Raducanu took to Instagram to reveal that she had been crying on the court. “Today was tough… I cried on the court but I want to thank you all for your support,” she wrote. Raducanu also thanked her coach and team for their support, saying that she was “looking forward to the next tournament”.
The young Romanian has had a meteoric rise in the world of tennis over the past year. In September 2018, she won the junior US Open title, becoming the first Romanian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title. Raducanu made her senior Grand Slam debut at the 2019 Australian Open, where she reached the second round before losing to world No.1 Simona Halep.
Now Emma Raducanu has revealed that her life is not all glamorous and that she was actually crying on the tennis court just a few months ago.
The Romanian player, who is currently ranked 189 in the world, made the revelation in an emotional post on social media. “I want to be honest with you guys,” she wrote. “My Instagram stories and posts are mostly happy moments because that’s what I want to share with the world, but tennis is a very tough sport.”
Raducanu went on to say that she has had to “work hard” for everything she has achieved and that there have been many “low points” in her career. “I remember a few months ago I was crying on the tennis court because I was losing and I felt like I couldn’t do anything right,” she said. “But I picked myself up and kept fighting.”
Emma finished by saying that she is “proud” of herself for never giving up and that she will continue to work hard to achieve her dreams. “I’m proud of myself for never giving up and for always fighting,” she said. “And I’ll keep doing it until I achieve my dreams.”
Raducanu’s post has been widely praised by fans and fellow players, with many commending her for her honesty and openness. “Thank you so much for sharing this,” one fan wrote. “It’s really inspiring and it shows that even the most successful people have low points in their careers.” “You’re an inspiration to all of us,” another added.
Raducanu is currently preparing for the French Open, which is set to begin later this month.
