Fallon Sherrock and her reaction to missing out on a maiden PDC Tour card.
Fallon Sherrock, 28, was beaten 6-4 by Rob Collins in the final qualifier of the PDC Q-School 2023, missing out on a place in the Professional Darts Corporation’s prestigious circuit by just one leg.
In her post on Twitter, Sherrock admitted she had found it tough to take after coming so close but thanked her supporters for their help and kind words during the process.
The World Darts Championship semi-finalist, who made history earlier this year by becoming the first woman to win a match at the tournament, wrote “So close yet so far… Gutted doesn’t even describe how I feel right now. Thank you everyone that has been supporting me, it means the world”.
The PDC Tour card is highly sought after because it grants access to all of the major professional tournaments held throughout the year. Although she has missed out on the tour card this time around, Fallon Sherrock can still take part in several tournaments as a non-qualified player if she chooses.
Her performances in the World Darts Championships this winter will have undoubtedly gone a long way to helping her build the profile she needs to make that happen. As always, Fallon Sherrock has demonstrated her resilience and determination during this process and there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing more of her on the big stage soon.
