Footballer Chloe Kelly was welcomed by QPR fans at Loftus Road.

The 24-year-old player Chloe Kelly was given a rapturous reception by the home crowd as she walked out onto the Loftus Road pitch before QPR’s match against Brentford. Growing up in Fulham, and she is now a lifelong Queens Park Rangers fan. So to score at Loftus Road, in front of the QPR fans, was a dream come true.
“It was an amazing feeling,” Chloe told Arsenal Player. “Obviously QPR is my local team so it was really special to score in front of them. “I grew up going to watch them play, and my family are all big QPR fans as well so it was a really proud moment for me.”
Chloe’s goal was the second of the night for England, and it sealed a famous victory over the reigning world champions. It was also a special moment for her Arsenal team-mate, Leah Williamson, who was making her senior debut for the Lionesses.
“It was amazing to play with Leah,” Chloe said. “She’s a great player and I’ve been fortunate enough to train and play with her over the last few years. “To make my debut with her was really special, and to top it off with a goal was even better.” “It’s an honour to be here and I just can’t wait to get started,” Kelly said.
It is believed to be the first time a professional footballer has been given a guard of honour by their club’s fans. “I’ve been a QPR fan for as long as I can remember and it’s always been my dream to play for the club. “I’m just grateful for this opportunity and I’ll be giving everything I’ve got to help the team.”
The England plyer, who is on loan at the club from Everton, was greeted by a group of supporters as she walked out onto the pitch.
Kelly has been in impressive form for QPR this season, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances. And she was given a warm reception by the Loftus Road faithful ahead of Saturday’s game.
One fan tweeted: “Welcome to Loftus Road, Chloe Kelly. You’ll get a great reception today.” Another said: “Glad to see Chloe Kelly getting a nice reception from the QPR fans. She’s been brilliant for us this season.” A third added: “What a reception for Chloe Kelly! She’s been brilliant for us this season and deserves every bit of praise she gets.”
