Hockey Canada will invest in Canada's National Women's team.

Hockey Canada has announced a historic investment for the Canadian National Women Hockey Program, which will provide increased funding and resources to further develop the game from coast to coast.

Hockey Canada’s commitment will allow additional support staff, enhanced training opportunities, better access to technology and improved scouting operations. Hockey Canada will invest in the team’s training, development and competition leading up to the 2022 -2023 season.

Hockey Canada also plans to offer a comprehensive insurance program for women’s national team athletes this season. Hockey Canada President and CEO Tom Renney said that Hockey Canada is committed to equipping their female players with all of the resources and support necessary to excel on the world stage.

Hockey Canada’s renewed commitment to the Canadian Women Hockey team is a step towards providing equal opportunity and recognition to all members of Team Canada. Hockey Canada is dedicated to building a better tomorrow for Canada Women Hockey.

Hockey Canada will be working closely with Hockey Canada and Hockey Calgary to provide additional opportunities for female Hockey players at all levels.
