Iga Swiatek took her words back, speaking about the US Open Conditions.

The young Polish player has become a household name in her home country and is now considered one of the favourites to win Wimbledon next month.
In the title match, Iga Swiatek was beaten in straight sets by Naomi Osaka. After the match, Iga Swiatek was asked about the conditions at the US Open and she had some very interesting things to say.
“It was really humid out there today and I think that played a big factor in the match,” Iga Swiatek said. “It was tough to breathe and I felt like I was sweating a lot.”
After her triumph, Świątek took to social media to share her thoughts on the US Open, which she won in dominant fashion without dropping a single set. She wrote: “I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the comments I made about the US Open conditions. It was unfair of me to speak without having experienced them myself.”
“I would also like to thank everyone involved in making the tournament happen, from the organisers to the players and everyone else behind the scenes. I had an amazing time and I’m already looking forward to next year!”
“I think I can attribute my success at the US Open to the fact that the conditions there were really tough,” she said. “It was really hot, and the courts were really fast. I think that made it really difficult for my opponents, and I was able to take advantage of that.”
Świątek also credited her coach, Piotr Sierzputowski, for helping her to stay calm and focused during matches. “He’s really good at keeping me relaxed and helping me to focus on the things that I need to do in order to win,” she said. “I’m really grateful to have him as my coach.”
With her US Open win, Świątek became the first Polish player to ever win a Grand Slam singles title. She is currently ranked No. 17 in the world.
