Iga Świątek won has won San Diego Open title.

Iga Świątek has been one of the biggest names in surfing for years and is known for her incredible skills on a surfboard. She has won many competitions, including the San Diego Open title. The 19-year-old Polish star, who is currently ranked world No. 2, was too strong for her opponent, winning 6-4, 6-2 in just over an hour to lift the trophy.
This is Świątek’s first WTA title on US soil and it sees her continue her impressive run of form this year. So far in 2022, she has won the French Open, Wimbledon and now the San Diego Open – all three of which are Grand Slams. This latest victory propels her to a career-high ranking of No. 2 in the world and cements her spot as one of the favorites heading into the 2022 French Open.
Świątek is currently the youngest player in the WTA Top 10 and is the first Polish player, male or female, to crack the Top 2 in the rankings. She has had a breakout year in 2020, winning her first Grand Slam at the French Open and following it up with wins at Wimbledon, the US Open, and now the San Diego Open.
Świątek is still only 19 years old, but she has already established herself as one of the best players in the world. “It has been an incredible week and I am so happy to have won my first title of the year,” said Świątek. “I would like to thank my team, who have been supporting me throughout this tournament.”
