John Millman says he thinks Simona Halep isn't guilty for the recent doping test.
The Romanian tennis player was recently banned for a positive drug test, though John Millman insists she is not guilty.
In an interview with Australia’s media outlet The Age, John Millman stated “I know Simona very well and she has always been an incredible ambassador for the sport – I hope that these allegations are quickly cleared up, and she can get back to doing what she does best – playing tennis.”
John Millman also mentioned that he has worked with Halep in the past and said “I have seen firsthand how hard Simona works on her game.
She is not someone who would ever try to cheat by taking performance enhancing drugs. This is a terrible situation for her and I hope she is able to clear her name as soon as possible.”
The tennis world has been rocked by Simona Halep’s recent doping test, but John Millman remains supportive of the player and insists she is innocent. He hopes that this issue will be resolved soon so that Simona Halep can once again focus on competing.
John Millman believes that Simona Halep is an example of everything tennis should be about: hard work and dedication, not cheating and taking shortcuts. He is confident that she will eventually be cleared of all the allegations made against her. In the meantime, John Millman stands by Simona Halep and shows his support.
John Millman’s show of solidarity to Halep is a powerful display of the sportsmanship that John himself has become known for in recent years, and serves as an example to others on how to handle such critical times with grace.
