Katie George is happy to come back after her injury.

Katie George has been through a lot in her young life, including a horrific car accident that nearly took her leg. But she has fought back and is now happier and healthier than ever before.
George was involved in a serious car accident in 2016 that left her with a broken femur, pelvis, and ribs. Doctors told her she might never walk again. But George was determined to prove them wrong.
After months of intensive physical therapy, George finally took her first steps. It was a momentous occasion for her and her family. Since then, she has made steady progress and is now able to walk without any assistance.
In addition to her physical injuries, George also struggled with mental health issues in the aftermath of the accident. She was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression.
But Katie has worked hard to overcome her mental health challenges. With the help of therapy and medication, she is now doing much better.
George says she feels lucky to be alive and is grateful for all the support she’s received from her family and friends. She is also excited to return to her passion, competitive cheerleading.
She recently competed in her first cheerleading competition since the accident. She says it felt amazing to be back on the mat and doing what she loves.
The 23-year-old was one of the star players in a side that reached the semi-finals of the competition, and she is now looking forward to the new season. “It was great to be back playing again last season after my injury,” said George. “I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the new season.
“The Welsh Fire have a lot of talented players and I think we can go far in the competition again.”
George, who can play either goal attack or goal shooter, is also hoping to earn a place in the England squad for the World Cup this year. “It would be amazing to play for England at the World Cup,” she said. “I’m going to keep working hard and hopefully I’ll get the chance to represent my country again.”
However, Katie’s career has been hampered by injuries, something that’s all too common in fast bowlers. After missing most of the 2019 season with a stress fracture in her back, George returned to the England fold in 2020 and played a key role in their T20 World Cup triumph.
The 23-year-old was one of the most impressive bowlers in the tournament, taking 12 wickets at an economy rate of just 5.41. George’s ability to hit the deck hard and extract seam movement make her a difficult proposition for any batsman, and she showed her class on the big stage.
While George is yet to make her mark in the ODI format, she is more than capable of turning games with her bowling. The Welsh Fire star will be looking to make an impact in the 2022 edition of the Women’s Cricket Super League.
Katie George is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. She has shown that no matter how difficult life may be, it is always possible to come back stronger than ever before.
