Korea Open- Emma Raducanu speaks about life in Korea.

The 19-year-old from Leicester, who is ranked 226 in the world, needed just over an hour to seal a 6-4 6-3 victory. Speaking after her win, Raducanu said she was enjoying life in Korea.
“I’m really enjoying it here,” she said. “The food is great and the people have been really friendly.”
Raducanu added that she was relishing the opportunity to play some of the world’s best players. “It’s always great to test yourself against the best players in the world and see where your game is at,” she said.
The Korea Open is a WTA Premier event and features several of the world’s top players, including Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep and Petra Kvitova.
Raducanu eventually regained her composure to close out the match 6-4, 6-3 and advance to the second round where she will face Korea’s Ji Yeon Kim.
Emma Raducanu is one of a number of talented young British players currently making their way on the WTA Tour, and she is relishing the opportunity to test herself against the best players in the world.
“It’s always a great feeling to win a match like that,” Raducanu said after her victory.
“I’m really happy to be here in Korea and I’m looking forward to my next match.” Raducanu has been based in Korea for the past few months, and she says she is enjoying life in the Asian country.
“I love Korea, it’s a great place to live,” she said. “The people are so friendly and the food is excellent.”
Raducanu will be hoping to continue her good form at the Korea Open when she takes on Ji Yeon Kim in the second round.
