The 28-year-old Nikita Parris, who penned a two-year deal with the Red Devils last month, is relishing the chance to play at some of the most iconic stadiums in world football.

And Parris, who scored nine goals in 24 appearances for England last year, is hoping to get the opportunity to play at Anfield in front of the world-famous Kop.

“I think Anfield is on the bucket list to play at,” Parris told MUTV. “I played at Goodison (Park) last year with England and it was a dream come true. To get that feeling, to see the stadium fill up and the fans being so passionate, it was electric.

“And then to play in a Manchester derby at the Etihad (Stadium) is going to be unbelievable. I think that’s what you live for as a footballer, to play in big stadiums, in big games and to get that feeling of running out in front of a massive crowd. I can’t wait for it. I think it will be a great experience and one that I will remember for the rest of my life.”

Parris has also revealed that she is relishing the chance to play under Manchester United manager Casey Stoney. “She (Stoney) was one of my idols growing up,” Parris said. “She was a world-class player and someone that I really looked up to.

“To have her as a coach now is unbelievable. I’ve learned so much from her already and I’m really looking forward to working with her and the team over the next few years.”

Now, as Nikita Parris prepares to take on Liverpool with Manchester United in the Women’s Super League on Sunday, she spoke about the chance to play at Anfield. “It’s every kid’s dream to play at Anfield,” Parris told Manchester United’s official website. “I used to watch the men’s team and I used to dream of playing there.

“I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a different feeling, walking out to the Liverpool crowd, but I think it will be a great experience.”

Parris has been in impressive form for United this season, scoring eight goals in 11 league appearances.

And the 28-year-old player is confident that her side can get a result against Liverpool, despite the Reds being unbeaten in the WSL this season. “We’re going there to win,” Parris said. “Obviously they’re a strong team and they’re doing really well, but we’re Manchester United and we’re going to take the game to them.

“We’re in a good place at the moment, we’re playing well and we’re confident. We’ll give it our all and hopefully come away with the three points.”
