“It’s been a whirlwind of a year,” Natasha told BBC Sport. “I was on the big stage, in front of my home crowd, and it didn’t go my way. It was a hard one to take but I’ve learnt from it.”

Since then, Natasha has gone from strength to strength. She became a world champion in November 2020, when she stopped Terri Harper in the 10th round to unify the WBC, WBO, IBO and WBA super-welterweight titles.

“I’m just letting it sink in at the moment,” Natasha said of her title win. “It’s been a long time coming. I’ve had some ups and downs in my career, but to come out on top is a dream come true.”

“I’m in the prime of my career and I feel like I’m getting better with every fight.” Natasha Jonas had to put her boxing career on hold while she fulfilled her role as a professional athlete and mother. Natasha Jonas is also working on other opportunities, including commentating and coaching, that will keep her involved in the sport.

In an interview, Natasha Jonas stated, “I’m just trying to juggle everything and make sure that I’m still on top of my game.” Natasha Jonas is determined to get back to the top of the lightweight division and is using her time away from the ring to improve her skills. She is working hard in the gym and watching hours of footage to prepare for her next fight.

She’s had some incredible experiences, and she’s learned a lot. Here are five things that Natasha has learned in the past year:

  1. It’s okay to be vulnerable.

  2. It’s okay to ask for help.

  3. It’s okay to make mistakes.

  4. It’s okay to be your own person.

  5. It’s okay to be happy.
