Parkway coach Gloria Williams has analysed Mikaylah Williams' game.

“Mikaylah is one of those kids that when she’s out on the court, she brings an intensity and a level of focus that is unmatched,” Gloria Williams said. “She has this unique ability to make everyone around her better.”
Parkway went undefeated in district play this season and won the 5A state championship, with Williams leading the way. “Mikaylah is a true champion,” Williams said. “She’s the best player I’ve ever coached, and I’m so proud of everything she’s accomplished.”
“Mikaylah Williams is one of the most coachable players I have ever been around,” Gloria said. “She takes constructive criticism well and is always looking to get better. She is a true leader by example on and off the court.”
Parkway went undefeated in district play this season en route to a 25-5 overall record and a berth in the Class 5A state tournament. Williams averaged 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals per game while shooting 47 percent from the field, 36 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free throw line.
“Mikaylah has worked extremely hard to become the player she is today,” Williams said. “She continues to improve her game each and every day. She has a high basketball IQ and always seems to make the right play on the court.”
Off the court, Williams is just as impressive. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a member of Parkway’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
“Mikaylah is a special young lady,” Williams said. “She is a great role model for younger players and is always quick to lend a helping hand. She has a bright future ahead of her and I am proud to have coached her the last four years.”
