Sara McConaghy will be working now as a manager of Canada Soccer development programming.

Sara McConaghy is a highly experienced soccer coach with extensive experience working in the Canada Soccer Women’s National Team program. She has held positions including Head Coach of Canada Soccer’s Women’s U-17, U-20 and Senior National Teams, as well as Director of Player Development for the Canada Soccer Girls’ Elite Super REX Program.

Sara’s experience and knowledge of the Canadian soccer landscape will be a valuable asset to Canada Soccer’s technical department. Sara is excited for the opportunity to continue contributing to the success of Canada Soccer Women’s programs.

Sara comes to Canada Soccer with a wealth of knowledge and experience in soccer development programming, which she acquired while working for Guelph Soccer. Sara is well-versed in developing and managing youth football initiatives that promote the growth of women’s soccer players and teams across Canada.

She has been involved in several key projects including creating Guelph’s first ever all-girls academy, launching a women’s only school program and the development of Guelph’s first ever Women’s Senior Premier League.

Sara has also worked with Canada Soccer on several programs, including the Canada Soccer National Player Development Program. In her new role at Canada Soccer, Sara will be responsible for managing and developing Canada Soccer Women’s soccer programs and initiatives, with a focus on youth development.

Sara will be working with Canada Soccer’s national team staff to ensure that the country’s best players are being developed to their fullest potential. Sara is committed to helping build stronger relationships between Canada Soccer and its members across the nation, furthering the growth of Women’s soccer in Canada.
