Sura Yekka has joined Vittsjö GIK.

Sura Yekka has seven years of professional experience, most recently in the Swedish Damallsvenskan with KIF Örebro where she made 72 appearances and scored five goals.

Vittsjö GIK’s manager Louise Nordström is pleased to have Sura in the team for the upcoming season. “Sura is a solid addition to our team and will no doubt be a great asset for us. She’s an experienced player who has already played at the highest level in Sweden,” she said.

Yekka is looking forward to the opportunity with Vittsjö GIK. “I am very excited about joining Vittsjö GIK and I am looking forward to helping the club achieve its goals,” she said. “I believe I can bring experience, passion, and commitment to this team and I’m ready to get to work.”

Sura Yekka is 19 years old from Sweden and has joined Vittsjö GIK for the 2020 season. She brings a wealth of experience to the table, having already represented her country internationally at under-17, under-19 and senior levels. Sura’s strength lies in her ability to read the game, keep possession of the ball, and provide pinpoint passes to her team-mates.

Sura has also demonstrated an eye for goal; she scored 14 goals in the 2019 season. Sura Yekka is a Canadian international with seven caps for her country. She joins Vittsjö GIK for the 2021 season and will help the team reach their goals of a top-three finish in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.
