Here are the seven worst UFC female debuts of all time.

  1. Cat Zingano: In 2013, Cat Zingano faced Ronda Rousey in UFC 168 for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship – and it did not go well for her. She was taken down by a judo throw and tapped out less than one minute into the fight.

  2. Rin Nakai: One year after Cat Zingano’s loss at UFC 168, Rin Nakai made her UFC debut against Miesha Tate at UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson. Despite being a judo champion, she was outmatched by Tate’s wrestling and grappling skills, losing the fight via unanimous decision in 2015.

  3. Justine Kish: UFC fighter Justine Kish faced Felice Herrig at UFC Fight Night 112 in 2017 but came away with a unanimous decision loss after being outstruck and taken down multiple times. The fight also made UFC history thanks to Kish’s unfortunate accident of defecating in the Octagon.

  4. Joanne Calderwood: Scottish fighter Joanne Calderwood faced Aisling Daly at UFC Fight Night: Jedrzejczyk vs. Penne in 2015, and her UFC debut was not a success. After a back-and-forth fight, Calderwood lost via unanimous decision – making it the fourth loss of her career.

  5. Gina Mazany: UFC fighter Gina Mazany faced Sara McMann at UFC Fight Night: Shevchenko vs. Pena in 2017 – and she was quickly put away. Despite her judo background, Mazany was unable to defend against McMann’s takedown attempt.

  6. Leslie Smith: UFC fighter Leslie Smith faced Jessica Eye at UFC 180 in 2014, but her UFC debut was a disaster. Eye landed heavy punches throughout the fight and Smith suffered an impressive cut above her left eye, prompting the referee to step in and stop the fight via doctor stoppage.

  7. Lina Lansberg: Swedish fighter Lina Lansberg faced Cristiane Justino at UFC Fight Night: Cyborg vs. Lansberg in 2016, but it quickly became clear that she was outmatched by her opponent.
