2022 marks 25 years since Suzi first reported on Formula 1 for BBC Grandstand, having started her television career as a child presenter on Blue Peter.

Suzi went on to become the first female host of BBC’s Formula 1 coverage in 2013 and has led the channel’s live coverage of MotoGP since 2015. Suzi is also a regular presenter on BBC’s The One Show.

Away from the studio, Suzi is an accomplished endurance athlete. In 2019 she completed the notorious ‘Enduroman Arch to Arc’ challenge, swimming the 21-mile length of the English Channel before cycling 187 miles to Paris and running a marathon – all within 48 hours. Suzi is also a keen triathlete, having completed several Ironman-distance races.

Suzi’s love of motor sport began at a young age. Her father was a professional racing driver and she grew up attending race meetings around the UK. Suzi began her career in television aged 12, presenting children’s show Blue Peter. She went on to report on a variety of sports for BBC Sport, including snooker, athletics and rowing before making the move into motorsport full time in 1997.

Suzi’s first Formula 1 race as a reporter was the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1997 and she has since reported on every grand prix for the BBC and BT Sport. Suzi has also presented live coverage of Formula E for ITV4 and Channel 5.

In 2013, Suzi made history by becoming the first female host of BBC’s Formula 1 coverage. Suzi led the channel’s live coverage of the sport for three seasons, before BT Sport took over the rights in 2016. Suzi has continued to work with BT Sport as a presenter and reporter, fronting the channel’s live coverage of MotoGP since 2015.
