The US Open is one of the biggest tennis tournaments in the world, and Tiger Woods was clearly excited to see Serena Williams in action.

“C’mon Serena! Lets go!” he shouted at one point during the match. Williams ended up winning the match, and Woods was quick to congratulate her on the victory.

“Congratulations Serena! US Open Champion!” he wrote on Twitter.

The US Open is one of the few times that Woods has been seen cheering on Williams, but it’s clear that he is a big fan of hers. And in the stands, one fan was cheering louder than anyone else – her husband Alexis Ohanian.

But as well as being rooting for his wife, Ohanian had another reason to celebrate – US Open officials confirmed that he had won a bet with Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou.

The Reddit co-founder had wagered that Serena would make it to the US Open final, and as a result he was given a pair of her iconic Nike sneakers. Woods, who is one of the most famous athletes in the world, is also a big fan of Williams.

The pair have been friends for many years, and Woods even gave her a pair of his own golf shoes when she won the US Open in 1999. Speaking after her win, Williams said that it was “amazing” to have the support of both Ohanian and Woods.

“To have their support, it means so much,” she said. “I was just telling Alexis how amazing he is. He was just telling me to stay focused, and I just feel really lucky that I have such an amazing husband and such great friends.”

Williams will now face Naomi Osaka in the US Open final on Saturday, where she will be hoping to secure her 24th Grand Slam title.
