Joanna Jedrzejczyk vacated her title in September 2020, after successfully defending it five times. She announced her retirement from MMA shortly thereafter but said she planned to return. Jedrzejczyk explained on The MMA Hour that she is currently living in Los Angeles and is focused on her Hollywood career, but she isn’t ruling out a return to UFC. The Polish star said she was motivated to come back to UFC after seeing how much the sport has grown since she first started fighting. UFC President Dana White has been touting her as the best female fighter of all time, and it’s hard to argue with that claim. This is what Joanna said about her comeback: " I want to stick with the UFC. I’m looking forward to sitting down with Dana White to talk about my future, and what I could possibly do for the UFC. I’m happy to be back. This is my home".
