US Open- the analyse of our favourite players.

This year, the event will be held from August 30th to September 12th.

Simona Halep is the player who will fancy her chances of winning the US Open. The Romanian has been in superb form over the past 18 months, winning both Wimbledon and the French Open. Halep is also a former US Open finalist, having lost to Sloane Stephens in 2018. The 27-year-old will be looking to go one better this year and she has the game to do so.

Naomi Osaka is the reigning US Open champion and she will be looking to defend her title this year. The Japanese star has had a mixed year but she showed her quality by winning the Australian Open in January.

Belinda Bencic is another player to keep an eye on. The Swiss star enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2019, winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open. Bencic has struggled with injuries this year but she will be hoping to rediscover her best form at Flushing Meadows.

Elsewhere, US Open semifinalist Vicky Duval will also be worth keeping an eye on; the 20-year-old has been in excellent form since returning from cancer treatment and will be looking to make another deep run at a major.

And finally, Aryna Sabalenka is a player who could make an impact at the US Open. The Belarusian star has been in excellent form over the past 12 months, winning two Grand Slam titles. Sabalenka will be looking to continue her good run of form at Flushing Meadows.
