NWSL’s Goal of the Month is an opportunity to celebrate the very best strikes from across the league. The NWSL’s reigning MVP Maya Le Tissierwas traded to the Courage in the offseason and has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in her first three games for her new club.
The latest of those came on Saturday against Sky Blue FC, a stunning individual effort that was rightfully named NWSL Goal of the Month for September. Le Tissier cut in from the left flank and curled a beautiful right-footed effort into the top corner, giving Sky Blue goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan no chance.
It was a goal worthy of winning any game, let alone claiming NWSL Goal of the Month honors.
