BT Sport’s Action Woman of the Year will be announced at the BT Sport Industry Awards in 2022.

This year’s nominees are:

  • Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce: The Jamaican sprinter is a two-time Olympic champion and holds the second-fastest time in the 100m.

  • Simone Biles: The American gymnast is a five-time Olympic medalist and is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast of all time.

  • Caster Semenya: The South African middle-distance runner is a two-time Olympic champion and currently holds the world record in the 800m.

  • Katarina Johnson-Thompson: The British heptathlete is the current world champion and also holds the European record for the event.

  • Rachael Atherton: The British mountain biker is a five-time world champion and has won the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup overall title a record six times.
