The 30-year-old, who is a former world road race and mountain bike champion, will be the first female rider in the Ineos Grenadiers’ history.

Ferrand-Prévot started her professional career in 2011 with the French team Vienne Futuroscope. In 2012, she won the junior road race at the UCI Road World Championships. In 2013, she moved to the Rabo-Liv team and won the world road race title in Ponferrada, Spain.

Ferrand-Prévot is a former world champion in both cross-country mountain biking and road racing. In 2015, she became the first person to ever hold all three titles at the same time. In 2016, she was forced to take a break from racing due to injuries, but made her comeback in 2017 and has since been climbing her way back to the top.

With her signing, Ineos Grenadiers is sending a strong message that they are committed to diversity and inclusion in their team. Ferrand-Prévot is an inspiration to young riders everywhere, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes with Ineos Grenadiers.

Ferrand-Prévot made her comeback to racing in 2019, and won the silver medal in the road race at the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire, England.

In a video released by the team, Ferrand-Prévot said: “It’s really important for me to be here and to show that Ineos Grenadiers is not only a men’s team. I am super excited and I can’t wait to start racing with this team."

“We are delighted to welcome Pauline Ferrand-Prévot to Ineos Grenadiers,” said team manager Dave Brailsford. “She is a truly world-class athlete and we are excited to see what she can achieve with us in the years to come.”

Ferrand-Prévot said she was “honoured” to be joining Ineos Grenadiers. “I have always been a big admirer of the team and its achievements,” she said. “I am looking forward to working with Dave Brailsford and the Ineos Grenadiers team, and I am confident that together we can achieve great things.”
