Who scored the Goal of the Month at WSL?

As WSL enters into 2022, let’s take a look at some of the best strikes from the month of November.

One goal that stood out was from Arsenal’s Vivianne Miedema who netted in their 2-1 win against Bristol City back in mid-November. The Dutch international produced an incredible effort from outside the box to earn the WSL Goal of the Month.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Leah Galton also scored a goal worthy of being nominated for WSL’s Goal of the Month. The midfielder scored an impressive solo effort with her left foot from range against Crystal Palace in their 5-0 victory back in November.

These two goals were only two of the many WSL strikes that could have earned Goal of the Month in November.

The WSL’s Goal of the Month voting was particularly close this time, but there could only be one winner. This month, that honour goes to Birmingham City’s Lucy Whipp; her stunning strike against Crystal Palace ensured she scored WSL’s 2022 Goal of the Month!

The remarkable goal saw Whipp take on two Palace defenders before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner. WSL fans were left in awe, and it’s no surprise that she scooped up the Goal of the Month award.

Whipp has now joined an illustrious list of WSL stars to have won the award this season, including Arsenal’s Danielle van de Donk, Manchester City’s Janine Beckie and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr. We can’t wait to see what other WSL stars will score a goal worthy of WSL’s 2022 Goal of the Month in the coming months!
